Project Overview

Tet Digital AS, a subsidiary of Ruter, is seeking a senior backend developer with leadership experience to join their six-person Team Transportoppdrag, which is responsible for managing public transportation operations.

Position Overview: Senior Backend Developer with Leadership Experience

Location: Tet Digital AS (Ruter subsidiary), Oslo Norway

Project Purpose:

  • Further development of transportation services within Team Transportoppdrag

  • Maintain and develop microservices for public transit operations

  • Lead and contribute to DevOps practices and continuous deployment

  • Support multiple transit companies' digital infrastructure

​

Key Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years experience as senior backend developer

  • Minimum 5 years experience with event-driven architecture and Kafka

  • Strong expertise in Kotlin/Java/Spring (7+ years)

  • Experience with IoT and MQTT messaging (5+ years)

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments

  • Knowledge of transportation services development

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as team leader

  • Scandinavian language proficiency (C1 level)

  • English language proficiency (B2 level)

  • Cannot be a sole proprietorship or single-person company

  • Experience with DevOps principles and practices

​

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position (100%)

  • Part of 6-person development team

  • Cross-functional team setting

  • Minimum 2 days/week in office

  • Based at Ruter's Oslo office

​

Contract Details:

  • Evaluation criteria: 70% competence, 30% price

  • Interviews planned for weeks 7 & 8, 2025

  • Application deadline: February 7, 2025

  • Start date: To be determined
